Plausible in Court??

This morning Cooper woke up with a bloody, red, and puffy eye:
He didn't go to bed like that so something must have happened in the night. Upon asking him what happened, he replied "Welli"--interpretation: Lincoln. Somehow Lincoln must have crawled out of his house, walked down the street, beat Cooper up, walked back to his house, and hopped back up into his crib. What a thug!!...Don't worry Lincoln, we know you didn't really do it!

So You Think You Can Dance??

I love that dance show! Here's my own version--who do you think is the winner of our mini-competition??

Tuesday Letter

D is for Daisy--and all of these lovely other things you see out there. If you're interested: make the white part of the daisy with the bottom of a soda bottle and thumbprint for the yellow.

Monday Book Project

Loved this project. We read "Pete's A Pizza" by William Steig. It's about this boy who's sad because it's raining so he can't go outside. Well, his dad decides to make him happy by "making" him into a pizza. I let each of the boys play the part of Pete and we rolled and stretched and tickled their bodies. They had so much fun! Then we made our own pizzas. I let go of my control freak self and actually let Cooper go completely free on his pizza. I didn't tell him what a mess he was making, or there was too much cheese, or how to put the pepperoni's on. He totally handled this one on his own and he did a dang good job! I was really proud. They actually turned out tasting really good, also. I would totally recommend this project for any of you mom's out there!

For Your Viewing Pleasure

It's Hailing, It's Snowing!!

I know it's Crazy!!
But we did have snow in Georgia today and they did cancel church. Before all of you Yankees mock the South Land it did actually snow for many hours and, unlike you guys, we are not spoiled enough to have snow plows to ease our vehicular ways. Thus, I was appreciative for the chance to stay at home with my familia. We had a blast playing the snow but I was very grateful not to live in a place where I have to suit up my kids to go outside only to freeze their pettuties off anyways!! Enjoy the pics!!

Does this:

Remind you of this?

Our snowman totally trumped the Allred's--Yeah Baby!!

Magic #66

Hit the shops today! Brought home these 5 full beauties:

for these 3 cuties:

All for the magic number $66.

Yeah, I'm amazing! I have this really obnoxious song I made up that I sing to Jake whenever I win a game. It's pretty simple: "I'm amazing! I'm amazing! I'm amazing! I'm amazing! I'm amazing!" It's to the tune of some Beethoven song. Yeah, I was totally singing it when I got my total!!

More Ethan Updates

For those of you who are wondering, I do a lot of updating on Ethan because I have a lot of family who have never seen him. If you're tired of his pictures, I'm only slightly insulted, but feel free to skip this adorable post!

Slimy Friday Fun!!

We had so much fun this Friday. We made ooey-gooey slime and I have rarely seen kids entertained for so long. Two 2-year olds and one 4 year old sat captivated and practically silent at the table for 45 minutes until I had to pry them away for naps. It was FANTASTIC! Here is the recipe if you're interested (I messed up the first 4 times I made it so if you have questions about it let me know):
Stir 1/8 cup borax into 500 ml warm water. It's okay if some borax remains undissolved. Allow solution to cool to room temperature.
In a separate container, stir 2 spoonfuls of glue into 3 spoonfuls of water. White glue will give you opaque snot (more booger than snot); glue gel will produce you translucent slimy snot.
Stir a couple of drops of food coloring into the glue mixture.
Add a spoonful of the borax solution to the glue mixture. Stir (if in a bowl) or squish (if in a baggie).
Have fun with your snot!
Tips:
Elmer's glue is a non-toxic, water-based white glue or a non-toxic blue or clear gel. Another brand may be substituted.
A little yellow food coloring could be added for that extra sickly touch.
Don't eat or inhale the snot. Borax isn't particularly toxic, but isn't good for you either.
Borax is found in the household cleaner or laundry section of the store. It's commonly used as a detergent booster.
Wash your hands after playing with your snot.
What You Need:
Borax Powder
Elmer's Glue
Water
Food Coloring
Measuring Cups
Baggies or Bowls

SLACKERS!

Okay, never mind! Either no ones thinks I'm very creative and will come up with a cool gift, or everyone is too selfish to do some service. Which one, folks?? Never mind on my "pay it forward" thing--I get the hint! Consider it no longer a viable option!! If I'm grumpy for the next few days it's because I feel slightly rejected by all of my buddies who don't believe in me:)!
